(الدَّوَابِّ) (Living creatures): Refers to every creature that crawls or moves on the earth, and it is also used to refer to those that move on four legs. Allah, (swt) uses this term for those who associate partners with Him, because creatures move based on instinct, and they do not possess the intellect to choose between alternatives, while, the human intellect allows individuals to distinguish between right and wrong, and between good and evil.
