(35) - “And We said, ‘O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.’”

The Paradise mentioned here is not the eternal Paradise. This is because, whoever enters the eternal Paradise will never leave it, and disobedience will never be committed in it.

Allah U had accommodated Adam u and his wife Eve in the Trial Paradise, the trial of its system. Furthermore, the verse mentions the word ﴾الْجَنَّةَ﴿“Paradise” but does not say that it is Jannatu ‘Adn which means ‘The Paradise of Eden’, Jannatul Khlud which means ‘The Eternal Paradise’ or Jannatul Firdaus which means ‘The Paradise of Firdaus’.The word Janna means to cover or hide. Therefore, the word Jannah in the Arabic Language means ‘a garden or forest surrounded by thick tress which conceal what is in it’. Allah U talks about the gardens in the Holy Qur’an:

“There was for [the tribe of] Saba’ in their dwelling place a sign: two [fields of] gardens on the right and on the left” [Surah Saba’: 15], and

“Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning” [Surah Al-Qalam: 17], and

“And present to them an example of two men: We granted to one of them two gardens of grapevines, and We bordered them with palm trees and placed between them [fields of] crops.” [Surah Al-Kahf: 32].
