(… إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ ) (Indeed, this is a reminder…): In another verse, Allah (swt) says:
مَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ لِتَشْقَىٰ (2) إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ
(We have not sent down to you the Qur’an that you be distressed (2) But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] ) (Ta-Ha: 2-3)
Allah (swt) has sent down the Holy Quran as a reminder for those who fear Him (swt) out of glorifying Him.
( فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا… ) (…so he who wills may take to his Lord a way): Meaning, who wills to benefit from the reminder, he may take to his Lord a way that leads him to his objective, namely the guidance through the verses of the Quran. Thus, defining the purpose and the objective aims at clarifying the right Way for the human being which leads to that objective. Pondering upon the verse, we notice that Allah (swt) mentions the (way) as indefinite to mean any way that leads to goodness. In fact, the ways of goodness are numerous such as praying, fasting, giving alms or giving assistance to others. So, as long as you have followed the Way of Belief in Allah (swt) and His Messenger, then you have to be recognized by taking the way of goodness and obedience.
