The drink will be from a spring in Paradise called Salsabeel. Ibn Al-A’rabi said: ‘I did not hear the word Salsabeel except in the Quran. It is a spring from which this drink easily spurts, and it will flow in a stream without banks. The Arabic word Salsabeel means the good taste and delicious flavour. Its drink moves smoothly and easily to the pharynx, and the tongue will find its taste sweet. The fresh and pure water of this spring will easily flow from Garden of ‘Aden passing through every Garden. The word Salsabeel also could be the name of the spring. Some scholars say that the name Salsabeel is not one word; rather, it is a sentence consisted of two words: Sal (ask) and Sabeel (way). The first word (Sal) is an imperative verb (ask) and the subject is implicit, could be the pronoun (you) or Muhammad. The second word (Sabeel) is the object.
