This man who denied and disobeyed in the Resurrection wants no one to command him to do the right. He wants to commit sins and misdeeds. However, if he believed in the Resurrection, he would be obliged to obey Allah (swt). He commits sins and delays the repentance day after day, saying “I will repent tomorrow, but he never does that”. His soul does not let him to repent until he dies without being detered.

(… يَسْأَلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ ) (He asks, “When is the Day of Resurrection?”): In another verse, Allah (swt) says:

 يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا

(They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?) (Al-A’raf: 187)

This disbeliever asks this question about the Day of Resurrection to express his disbelieve in it.
