الآية رقم (21) - قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا

(21) - Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction

In this Surah we note that Allah (swt) repeats the word (right direction) four times, in the verses: 2, 10, 14, and in this verse of the study. Someone may ask: ‘Why does Allah (swt) not say: ‘Say, “Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or benefit’ since the harm is the contrary to benefit?’ Indeed, the jinn who listened to the Holy Quran did not seek any worldly benefit. Rather, they sought the Right Direction and the Way of Guidance, which are the contrary to word ‘error’. If we say that the verse of study refers the disbelievers of Mecca, then Allah (swt0 commands the Prophet (saws) to tell them: ‘I am not in a position to cause you any harm regarding your religion or worldly life or bring you benefit as it is Allah alone Who is in position to do all of that’.
