(… مِّمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا) (Because of their sins they were drowned ): The people of Noah (PBUH) were drowned on account of their sins and disbelief.

(… فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارًا… ) (…and put into the Fire …): The people of Noah (PBUH) were thrown into the fire in the Hereafter. Their bodies decayed in the drowning while their spirits went to Hell.

(  فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنصَارًا … ) (…and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers): They did not find supporters to protect them from drowning and entering Hell in the Hereafter. They found nothing to save them form Allah’s punishment.
