In addition to his disbelief, transgression and hypocrisy, he collects money from all possible sources, whether lawful or unlawful, then hoard it and does not give Allah’s right in it. Allah (swt) describes him in another verse, saying:
الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ (2) يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
(Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. (3) He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.) (Al-Humazah: 2-3)
His money and wealth made him transgressed and he looked with contempt and disdain to the poor, thinking that his wealth will grant him immorality. However, his money will not avail him, nor will hoarding wealth save him from punishment. Allah (swt) says:
كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ (4) وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ (5) نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ (6) الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ (7) إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ (8) فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ
(No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. (5) And what can make you know what is the Crusher? (6) It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, (7) Which mounts directed at the hearts. (8) Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them (9) In extended columns.) (Al-Humazah: 4-9)
