It became as black dust. The garden became black as dark night. Its fruits have been destroyed, as if they were reaped. Its owners swore to cut its fruits before the poor coming in the morning to ask for charity. Allah (swt) uses this word of (reaped), as if saying to them: “You wanted to reap and cut its fruits for yourself only, so that I destroyed it, in order not to benefit from it, as a punishment for your evil plotting”.
