There is a significant difference between goodness and success in this world and triumph in the Hereafter. In this world, it is limited by your lifespan, and you enjoy it in proportion to your efforts. As for the Hereafter and Paradise, they are eternal, and you enjoy them according to how Allah (swt) wants based on His Ultimate Will and Power. They will be enjoyed in the proportions set by the One Who created the efforts, not in the proportions of your own efforts. This is the distinction between success in this world and success in the Hereafter.
