( يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ) (O you who have believed): Indeed, faith in Allah (swt) is a matter of unseen, but once you believe in Allah (swt), there are requirements and manifestations of this faith.
( اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ ) (respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life): As mentioned previously, responding to the commands of Allah (swt) and the Prophet (saws) is inseparable. The Holy Quran unifies the command of responding to Allah’s orders (swt) with responding to the commands of the Prophet (saws). (When he calls you) emphasizes the indivisibility of obedience to both Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saws). We cannot separate believing in Allah (swt) without believing in the Prophet (saws) too. Each letter in the Holy Quran has its significance. This verse underscores the integral connection between following the orders of Allah (swt) and living a happy life.
( وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ ) (and that to Him you will be gathered): The consequence is that, Allah (swt), Who has control over our hearts, will gather all people and bring us back to Him (swt) whether we wish it or not.
