(4) - (Those are the believers, truly. For them are degrees [of high position] with their Lord and forgiveness and noble provision.)

( أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ) (Those are the believers, truly): Indeed, those who possess these five attributes are truly the believers because faith, as indicated before,  is not a mere wish or adornment; rather, it is what settles in the heart and is affirmed by one’s actions. (Truly) refers to the constant, unchanging reality.

( لَّهُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ) (For them are degrees [of high position] with their Lord): As much as a person engages in righteous deeds, their status elevates before Allah (swt). These believers whom Allah (swt) described with these attributes, attain different ranks, each according to their sincerity, intentions, and the righteous deeds they perform.

( وَمَغْفِرَةٌ ) (and forgiveness): Seeking forgiveness from Allah (swt) is crucial because, as the Prophet (saws) said:

“All the sons of Adam are sinners, but the best of sinners are those who are given to repentance.”[1]

Therefore, the first thing a person hopes for is the forgiveness of Allah (swt). Allah (swt) says:

 وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ

(And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.) (Al-Hijr: 50)

( وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ ) (and noble provision): The sustenance provided by Allah (swt), the Generous, the Majestic, is boundless. His provision is a gracious gift without limits, never ceased upon His (swt) creation.
