(154) - (And when the anger subsided in Moses, he took up the tablets; and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who are fearful of their Lord.)

( وَلَمَّا سَكَتَ عَن مُّوسَى الْغَضَبُ أَخَذَ الْأَلْوَاحَ ) (And when the anger subsided in Moses, he took up the tablets): It is as if anger is a person giving commands, such as ordering others to insult, hit, or kill, so that a person in a state of anger might find himself uttering words filled with rage. When the anger subsided, Prophet Moses (PBUH) took the tablets.

( وَفِي نُسْخَتِهَا هُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِرَبِّهِمْ يَرْهَبُونَ ) (and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who are fearful of their Lord): In these Tablets is guidance and mercy. Divine books always contain universal guidance for all people, as is stated about the Holy Quran:

(Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward.) (Al-Israa: 9)

The term (most suitable) encompasses all aspects of life. Embracing this guidance grants you mercy, which includes all aspects of benevolence and goodness. Allah (swt) summarizes the Message of Prophet Muhammad (saws) by saying:

(And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.) (Al-Anbiyaa: 107)
