(… وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ…) (…And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people …): That is, everything that has been revealed to the Prophet (saws) from the Holy Qur’an increased the Jews but in disbelief, tyranny, anger, hatred, envy and conspiracy against the Prophet (saws). So Allah (swt) asks him (saws) not to be sad or taken aback by their disbelief, because they are the ones who chose the disbelief.
