Allah (swt) reprimanded the damned Satan for not obeying His (swt) commands and not prostrating to Adam, which Satan answers with: (أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ ) ([Satan] said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.“): Clay is soil mixed with water. Satan grew arrogant and disobeyed Allah’s (swt) order, he considered falsely that the creations out of fire to be better than those out of clay. Allah (swt) answered him back with:
