Physical miracles were repeated in their time. For example, Allah U would cause some people to die in front of them then bring them back to life so as to make it firm in them the reality of the resurrection. And we find this in several examples such as the story of:
“the one who passed by a township which had fallen into ruin. He said, ‘How will Allah bring this to life after its death?’ So, Allah caused him to die for a hundred years; then He revived him.” [Surah Al-Baqarah: 259].
The majority opinion is that this was Prophet Uzair. Similar to this was Prophet Isa u, who used to bring the dead back to life by the permission of Allah U, meaning by the divine command of Allah U, “Be!”
Just like this, Allah U raised the children of Israel after their deaths due to the request and beseeching of Prophet Musa u. who feared the discontinuation of their lineage if they all died.
